As a little girl my family took in an English Springer Spaniel to help out a family friend. For the next 13 years Kandi Mys Tique
became my best friend and I knew I would have a career with animals when I grew up. A friend suggested I check into becoming a pet groomer. I took a leap of faith and left the world of accounting and enrolled into The Florida School of Dog Grooming in Tampa, Fl. Every day I would go home and call my friends because I was so excited to tell them what I had learned in school that day!
I graduated and went to work for a top salon where I further developed my grooming and handling skills. I also learned the ways I did NOT want to treat the animals. I went to work grooming in a veterinary hospital and learned more of the health and treatment aspect of grooming.
An opportunity opened up at another clinic that had three veterinarian's on staff and started my own business renting a room from them. The beautiful, scenic downtown Greenville, South Carolina won over my heart and became home.
My dream of Downtown Doggie
became clearer and Downtown Doggie
took shape after the birth of my amazing son Kevin.

I personally go over every pet that enters my home. As a pet owner myself I strive to find the best possible grooming option for you and your pet. I also offer options that work with your schedule which keeps your pet happy and healthy!
I am involved with the surrounding community rescue groups and shelter dogs. Anything to help get our furry friends into forever homes and educating people on over-population is a personal goal.
When I'm not grooming, I am playing with my son and enjoying the spectacular outdoors/waterfalls in the Greenville, Greer, Taylors area. I try to be of service to others and my hobbies include drawing and painting. I sleep well at night knowing that I am able to provide loving, quality care for your pet.

For the comfort of your pet, Downtown Doggie is located in a comfortable home environment. We find that taking care of your loved ones in our home makes for a much more relaxed and comfortable experience for your pet.
With the tireless effort of about 14 close friends, the lower level of our home was transformed into a relaxing, happy Salon
